How often do you think about breathing and air? Our breathing happens automatically and unless there is a health problem, we usually don't think about it. In fact, air quality and being in enough fresh air are very important for our health. Fresh air goes hand in hand with nature and from there we get a double effect: being in nature and fresh air.

What are the benefits of fresh air?

Being exposed to fresh air brings many benefits and fulfills many important functions:

  • Cleanses the lungs: Breathing fresh air helps clear your lungs and improve your breathing. This increases your oxygen intake, which is essential for cell function and energy production. By breathing deeper, your lungs get more oxygen and become cleaner. Fresh air can also help reduce the risk of airborne diseases and infections.
Fresh air is not only good for your lungs, but it can also give you more energy, lower blood pressure, improve digestion and mood. Since fresh air can have many benefits for our health, it is important to spend as much time outdoors as possible. Try to spend more time outdoors and give your body the fresh air it needs!
  • Strengthening immunity: Fresh air helps strengthen the immune system by promoting the production of white blood cells, which help fight infections and diseases.
  • Stress relief and energy gain: Studies have shown that being in fresh air and nature increases people's energy levels.
  • Improving mood: studies show, that just 20-30 minutes of outdoor time a day can significantly reduce stress, anger, depression, and other negative emotions. The positive effects can last for hours after you return indoors. Make being outdoors part of your daily self-care routine to naturally boost your mood.
  • Improving sleep quality: Fresh air helps the body relax, helping you fall asleep and sleep better.
  • Improving concentration: Higher oxygen levels mean more oxygen reaches the brain, which helps you feel more energetic and improves concentration and memory.

Breathing exercises

Breathing in and out tells your body to relax. The rapid breathing caused by anxiety slows down, blood pressure drops, and sweating decreases. You can do this exercise anywhere:

  1. Take a deep breath through your nose,
  2. breathe out through your mouth,
  3. Try to make each breathing cycle longer than the previous one.
